Nutrition, exercise & mindfulness - This is what Will’s daily rituals look like
Will lives in California, just out of Los Angeles. Who meets him for the first time, would think he is a professional Basketball player or Football star. His athletic looks are the result of three healthy habits, which he happily shares with us now.
Will’s training plan says strength training three times a week. He prefers to exercise in the gym or the park. Who has been to Venice Beach, knows that this part of the beach is the perfect playground for fitness enthusiasts. Will loves training with his own bodyweight: Tight push-ups, burpees, planks, pull-ups and crunches.
Twice a week Will focuses on 60-minute endurance sessions. Or better: High-altitude training. He trains with a training mask, simulating an altitude of 2000 m. He is preparing for his next adventure trip: Climbing the Mount Everest in Nepal.
Training at such a level, nutrition takes on an even more important role. Will splits his daily calorie requirement between three main meals. All meals are made up as follows: 50% carbohydrates and fiber, 30% protein, 20% unsaturated fats.
For a snack, Will prepares himself a smoothie with three different kinds of fruits and vegetables.
A few years ago, Will spent a week on a silent retreat in a monastery. He experienced the power of silence on himself. Since then, he keeps 30 minutes of the day for a silence practice. He loves going on walks on the beach of Malibu, together with his wife. Nobody speaks during those moments.
